Flight Controllers

Our industry-leading NDAA-compliant drone flight controllers are designed to serve government and defense as well as commercial UAS and unmanned systems applications. The compact and lightweight board-level systems feature PX4 and/or Ardupilot autopilot firmware, and the product range includes options based on Pixhawk Autopilot Bus (PAB) and Raspberry Pi 4.

Flight Controller Carriers

Our NDAA-compliant flight controller carrier boards are based on PAB open-source specifications and are designed to integrate seamlessly with our high-performance flight controllers as well as other Pixhawk-based solutions. The compact and scalable solutions provide advanced connectivity and functionality for mission-critical drone and unmanned systems platforms.

Flight Controller Bundles

Our flight controller bundles combine a high-performance flight controller, carrier board, and onboard computing capabilities into a single streamlined production-ready solution, doing away with the need to source and assemble separate components. All bundles are NDAA-compliant and are ideal for complex UAV and robotics applications.

Optical Flow Sensor

The ARK Flow optical flow sensor delivers best-in-class precision navigation and positioning capabilities for unmanned aerial vehicles. Providing highly accurate movement detection by analyzing surface patterns and motion, and also incorporating a time-of-flight distance sensor, it is ideal for ensuring stable flight performance even under GNSS-denied conditions.

A drop-in module for the ARK Flow is also available, featuring an upgraded optical flow module and time-of-flight distance sensor. The NDAA-compliant ARK Flow MR extends the distance sensing range up to 50 meters while adding just 5 grams to the system weight.

Distance Sensor Modules

ARK’s distance sensor modules offer compact, low-SWaP, USA-built, NDAA-compliant solutions for professional UAV platforms. The short-range and mid-range models integrate a Broadcom ToF sensor with an onboard laser source, optics, and interface connections, supporting operation in ambient light up to 200k lux.

These modules provide DroneCAN and MAVLink compatibility, UAVCAN firmware update capability, and ROS2 support. Each unit includes two Pixhawk Standard CAN connectors, a Pixhawk Standard UART connector, and a Pixhawk Standard Debug connector, and is supplied with CAN and UART cables. Powered by 5V with low current draw, the modules feature a compact design and lightweight form factor.

GNSS & GPS Modules

Our GPS and GNSS receiver modules are based on embedded positioning technology from industry leaders such as u-blox, Septentrio and STMicroelectronics. The multi-band and multi-constellation receivers are ideal for providing UAVs and unmanned systems with precise and reliable positioning performance even under highly challenging conditions.

High-Precision IMUs

Developed in partnership with Analog Devices and Murata, our MEMS-based inertial measurement units provide highly reliable orientation, velocity, and acceleration data with exceptional precision and accuracy, ensuring excellent performance even under highly challenging operational conditions. The compact NDAA-compliant sensors are compatible with PX4 and Ardupilot.

CANnode Module

The CANnode is a compact connectivity module that enables almost any sensor to be seamlessly integrated into a vehicle’s CAN bus, providing reliable and efficient data transfer and control across complex systems. Running PX4 firmware and supporting UAVCAN updates, the small form factor board also incorporates a six-DoF IMU module.

Electronic Speed Controllers

ARK’s 4-in-1 ESC (electronic speed controller) provides precise and highly reliable motor control for a wide variety of commercial and military UAV applications. Offering excellent efficiency and performance in a low SWaP footprint, the NDAA-compliant controller ensures optimal flight stability and power management.

Power Modules 

Designed for use with Pixhawk Autopilot Bus carrier boards, our Power Modules provide stable and reliable power management and distribution for drones and robotics. The lightweight and compact modules are NDAA-compliant and are designed to ensure consistent performance and maximum system longevity in complex applications.
