DeTect’s Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) System is a ground-based airspace monitoring solution built on the proven HARRIER® Airspace Surveillance Radar platform, designed to support safe and compliant unmanned aircraft operations beyond visual line of sight. The system delivers persistent, wide-area coverage with automated risk advisories, enabling operators to detect and assess both cooperative and non-cooperative aircraft in real time. By integrating surveillance data with intelligent processing, it enhances situational awareness and supports detect-and-avoid strategies critical for extended-range drone missions.
Leveraging solid-state Doppler radar technology in S- or X-band configurations, the system provides reliable long-range detection exceeding 20 miles, with high operational uptime supported by a 50,000-hour MTBF. Integrated ADS-B and Traffic Advisory System (TAS) interrogators enable tracking of transponder-equipped aircraft, while proprietary Intelligent Sensor™ capabilities classify targets automatically across a diverse range of aerial objects, including drones, helicopters, ultralights, and larger aircraft. Available in fixed and mobile deployments, including vehicle-mounted and infrastructure-integrated configurations, the system is suited to a wide range of operational environments requiring scalable, ground-based detect-and-avoid capability.
