RockREMOTE Rugged is a compact satellite communications terminal designed to provide reliable global connectivity for unmanned systems operating in remote and harsh environments. Equipped with a wide range of physical serial, digital and LAN connectivity options, it enables seamless integration with measuring and monitoring sensor devices across maritime, land and mobile platforms.
Using Iridium Certus 100 and an omni-directional antenna, RockREMOTE Rugged delivers dependable near real time data transfer without the need for antenna pointing. With access to Iridium global LEO satellite network, it maintains connectivity even with a limited or changing view of the sky, making it well suited to mobile and autonomous operations.
Designed for permanent outdoor installation, RockREMOTE Rugged is built to perform in demanding environmental conditions. Its Linux based operating system supports containerized edge computing applications, allowing data processing and decision making closer to the point of collection. In addition, with integrated rich media optimization and VideoSoft’s video compression, RockREMOTE Rugged enables efficient transmission of compressed video and imagery over satellite for real-time remote monitoring and surveillance.
Comprehensive remote management is provided via Cloudloop, enabling diagnostics, configuration and firmware updates to be carried out remotely, reducing the need for on site intervention.
