Advanced Multirotor & VTOL Drone Propulsion Systems | Motors, ESCs & Propellers

HOBBYWING is a specialist developer of brushless motors for multirotor and VTOL drones, as well as electronic speed controllers and propellers. The company’s advanced propulsion solutions have been delivered to clients worldwide to support a wide range of commercial, civil, and industrial applications, including aerial photography, inspection, surveys and mapping, emergency response, cargo delivery, and more.

In addition to COTS products, HOBBYWING provides tailored drone propulsion through OEM/ODM services, leveraging more than 20 years of R&D and manufacturing expertise to support dependable UAV performance.

Integrated Propulsion Systems

HOBBYWING’s integrated propulsion solutions for professional and commercial drone systems combine motors, electronic speed controllers (ESCs) and precision-matched propellers to provide convenient and highly efficient all-in-one solutions that meet varying thrust demands and application requirements.

The X Series has been specifically engineered for precision agriculture drones, and is ideal for supporting a wide range of tasks including seeding, spraying, and crop data collection. Featuring superior corrosion and humidity resistance, these systems provide long service life in outdoor field environments.

The new generation G2 propulsion systems also excel in industrial applications such as drone inspection, training and delivery.

Multirotor Drone Motors

HOBBYWING’s M Series brushless motors ensure stable and ultra-efficient operation for industrial multirotor drones, engineered with robust materials and offering options to suit a wide range of platforms from small quadcopters through to heavy-lift UAVs.

The M Series offers two types of motor with a thrust range of 0.6~40kg – Light models feature a hollowed-out design for minimal weight and enhanced flight times, and HighProt motors are housed in a semi-enclosed structure for robust protection against dust and debris.

VTOL Drone Lift Motors

Optimized for VTOL fixed-wing drone platforms, V Series motors offer a thrust range of 3.5~26kg, providing extensive lift capacity for heavy-payload platforms undertaking mission-critical tasks such as emergency response, surveillance, and industrial inspection.V11130 VTOL UAV Propulsion Solution

V Series motors feature Intelligent Propeller Control (IPC) technology, enabling flexible adjustment of propeller stop positions when paired with one of HOBBYWING’s IPC-capable electronic speed controllers. This capability reduces drag during cruising phases of flight, and significantly extends flight endurance and efficiency.

VTOL & Fixed-Wing Drone Cruise Motors

Fixed-Wing Drone Cruise MotorsC Series motors are optimized for electric fixed-wing and VTOL UAV cruise operations and provide an effective alternative to traditional 30CC to 85CC combustion engines. These motors feature an Intelligent Propeller Control (IPC) function. When paired with HOBBYWING IPC ESCs, the system enables customizable propeller positioning, reducing ground contact risk and improving equipment protection.

C Series motors also feature a detachable propeller adapter base with integrated anti-slip, anti-rotation, and interlocking mechanisms.

Electronic Speed Controllers

HOBBYWING’s electronic speed controllers are purpose-built for multirotor and VTOL UAVs. While FOC vector control ensures precise control, fast response, efficient driving, and low noise, BLDC offers enhanced compatibility and stability across different drone platforms. An advanced black box function provides millisecond-level data recording for rapid fault diagnosis and performance analysis.

H Series drone brushless ESCsThe ESCs support both HOBBYWING’s proprietary customizable HWCAN protocol and the open-source DroneCAN protocol, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of UAV systems and applications. They also provide dual CAN and PWM dual throttle signals, and optional dual CAN/RS485 bus communications.

H Series ESCs can be optionally equipped with IPC (Intelligent Propeller Control) technology, providing VTOL fixed-wing UAVs with the ability to adjust propeller stop positions to reduce drag and improve flight efficiency.

Drone Propellers

HOBBYWING’s industrial-grade carbon-plastic and carbon-fiber propellers offer high efficiency and durable operation for both multirotor and VTOL drones.

H-Folding Carbon Fiber Propeller

Carbon-Plastic Propellers

Carbon-plastic propellers, featuring lightweight, good balance, high strength, and corrosion resistance, are widely used in HOBBYWING X Series integrated propulsion systems for agriculture and training drones, delivering reliable resistance to pesticide corrosion while maintaining excellent cost-effectiveness.

Carbon-Fiber Propellers

Carbon-fiber propellers, featuring high rigidity, excellent dynamic balance, low vibration, and superior performance under extreme conditions, are extensively applied on HOBBYWING H Series integrated power systems and P Series high-voltage propulsion systems, ideal for coaxial, long-endurance, high-speed, and large-scale industrial multirotor and VTOL UAV platforms.
