Advanced Man-Portable USV Platforms for Defense, Tactical & Government Missions

Hydronalix is a developer of advanced USV (uncrewed surface vessel) platforms and payloads for defense, tactical and government missions. The company is the leading supplier of man-portable USVs for the U.S. military, and has provided its products to the US Navy, USMC, Army, SOCOM, and DARPA.

Hydronalix USVs have supported critical operations in the South Pacific and throughout Europe, and are ideal for a wide range of use cases, including:

USV Platforms

Hound Radar Reckless USV

Hound Radar Reckless

Hound Radar Reckless is a small-footprint vessel that makes an ideal covert counter-UAS early warning platform, and can also be used to detect weather events and other vessels. With a radar range of 30 miles, it can be manually controlled from land or a mothership, and also offers a 15-mile autonomous waypoint navigation range.

CASEVAC Reckless USV

CASEVAC Reckless

CASEVAC Reckless has been designed to carry out discreet evacuation of wounded soldiers from remote areas, and can transport the patient, a medic, and medical equipment including a full-sized stretcher. The autonomy-capable USV can be manually controlled by the onboard operator, or remotely from the shore.

Sonobuoy Reckless

Sonobuoy Reckless

Sonobuoy Reckless is an uncrewed anti-submarine warfare (ASW) platform that can carry and deploy up to 10 Class A sonobuoys in one sortie. With a small footprint and a 48-hour loiter time, it offers a low probability of detection, and can carry out 15 miles of autonomous waypoint navigation with a 550 lb payload.

Cargo Reckless USV

Cargo Reckless

Cargo Reckless is designed for tactical delivery and last-mile logistics in contested waters, with the ability to transport over 500 lbs of critical payload in a volume of 35 cubic feet. The vessel is equipped with swarming capabilities, enabling multiple units to supply one particular region or destination.

Tactical Sonar AMY USV

Tactical Sonar AMY

Tactical Sonar AMY is a compact USV platform that is designed to carry out wide-area autonomous sonar imaging and bathymetric mapping missions, and can cover 1.5 square miles on a single charge. Equipped with Apex side-scan sonar, it can detect any objects under the water.

Tactical Sonar EMILY USV

Tactical Sonar EMILY

Tactical Sonar EMILY is a small one-person-portable USV that is ideal for nearshore mapping and search and rescue. Equipped with APEX side scan sonar, it can produce clear real-time imagery at depths of down to 1,500 feet, and can be manually piloted or programmed for full autonomy.

Ariel USV

Ariel

Ariel is a lightweight and cost-effective uncrewed surface vehicle that can serve in a variety of roles including payload delivery, ISR and training. The versatile platform is swarm-capable and can operate without emitting radio signals when covert deployment is a priority.

Sonar Ariel USV

Sonar Ariel

Sonar Ariel is a small cost-effective uncrewed surface vehicle that is designed to gather high-quality underwater imagery for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance. With a 12-hour loiter time and able to cover 0.3 square miles on a single charge, it can be piloted manually or controlled by autopilot.

Sonobuoy Ariel USV

Sonobuoy Ariel

Sonobuoy Ariel combines two standard Ariel vessels into a pontoon platform hosting a reloadable Class A sonobuoy for anti-submarine warfare (ASW) missions. With a top speed of 16 mph and a range of up to 20 miles, it can be piloted manually or controlled by autopilot.

UAV Platforms

Crow unmanned aerial vehicle platform

Crow

Crow is a small unmanned aerial vehicle platform designed to be cost-effective and extremely quick and easy to deploy. Featuring a weatherproof design that allows it to fly in rain and land on bodies of water, it can autonomously fly through user-specified waypoints and can carry up to 2.5 lbs of essential supplies for tactical last-mile delivery.

Capabilities & Use Cases

Hydronalix Real-Time Sonar & Bathymetric Mapping

Real-Time Sonar & Bathymetric Mapping

Hydronalix’ sonar-equipped USVs are ideal for bathymetric mapping, sonar beach mapping and hydrographic survey of very shallow water up to the surf zone. The ATAK-compatible vessels can be equipped with Starlink, and have been deployed successfully with real-time data transfer and control over great distances including between Luzon, Philippines, and San Diego, CA.

CASEVAC & Patient Transfer

CASEVAC & Patient Transfer

The CASEVAC Reckless has been specially developed for patient transfer in contested littoral environments, and can undertake ship-to-shore, shore-to-ship, and ship-to-ship transport. Autonomous navigation allows the medic to focus on direct patient care during transit, and the platform also provides built-in fluid temperature control.

Autonomous Logistics

Autonomous Logistics

Hydronalix systems provide reliable autonomous delivery of critical goods in hostile waters, with options for 2 up to 550 lbs of payload capacity. Swarm-capable units enable simultaneous delivery to one or multiple locations, and offer a programmable “return to base” capability.

Air & Maritime Domain Awareness

Air & Maritime Domain Awareness

With robust radar imaging capabilities, ATAK compatibility and Starlink communications, Reckless USVs can simultaneously monitor the aerial and maritime domains over ranges of up to 100 nm, providing an early warning capability against a variety of threats.

Anti-Submarine Warfare & Force Protection

ASW & Force Protection

Hydronalix USVs offer deployment of single or multiple sonobuoys for anti-submarine warfare, as well as kinetic effects for force protection. With swarming capabilities, these vessels act as an effective force multiplier and minimize the use of more expensive or important assets.
