The Flight Termination Receiver (FTR) from TUALCOM is a compact airborne unit designed to receive and decode tone-based command messages in flight termination systems. Incorporating a highly sensitive superheterodyne RF receiver with programmable center frequency, it reliably detects IRIG-standard command tones for activation of termination devices. The system supports 3- or 4-tone decoding among 20 IRIG tones, ensuring operational flexibility across mission configurations.
Engineered for safety-critical applications, the FTR includes full fail-safe capability with programmable loss-of-tone duration, low-voltage detection, and cross-strapping options. Signal strength telemetry output provides real-time RF monitoring, and the receiver is designed for rugged airborne environments. Built to RCC 319-14 and RCC 313-01 standards and MIL-STD-810G environmental requirements, the FTR delivers reliable tone-based command decoding for space launch vehicles and UAV flight safety systems.
