Machining, Fabrication & Assembly

Our state-of-the-art machining, fabrication and assembly capabilities are tailored to meet the unique demands of UAV OEMs, enabling the creation of high-precision components and subsystems across a variety of platform types. We operate a near-clean-room environment staffed by industry experts and backed by Six Sigma processes and ISO and AS credentials, ensuring results of the highest standards no matter the complexity or volume.

The cutting-edge equipment in our in-house machining facilities includes 5-axis and Swiss capability machines, and we utilize offline simulation to maximize efficiency and reduce project lifecycles. Our highly skilled craftsmen work to ISO 9001 and AS 9100 quality management standards, ensuring greater print-to-part accuracy and shorter turnaround times.

Custom Cable Assemblies & Wiring Harnesses

WilliamsRDM specializes in complex wiring harnesses and cable assemblies for unmanned aircraft and supporting ground systems. Our capabilities include mixed-signal cabling, shielded and high-density harnesses, and ruggedized interconnects designed to withstand vibration, thermal extremes, and EMI-sensitive environments common to UAV operations.

These solutions are applied across air vehicle integration, payload interfaces, ground support equipment, and test systems, supporting both prototype and low- to medium-rate production. Fielded, ATE-tested, and flightline-qualified cable assemblies developed for legacy and modern fighter platforms form the foundation of WilliamsRDM’s durable and reliable unmanned interconnect solutions.

PCB Assembly

In addition to cable and harness solutions, WilliamsRDM supports electronic and electromechanical assemblies applicable to unmanned aircraft systems and related ground support equipment. Our capabilities include integration of signal, power, and communications assemblies used in UAV subsystems, payload interfaces, and command-and-control test fixtures.

These assemblies are commonly integrated alongside our wiring harnesses and cable assemblies to deliver complete, reliable electronic solutions for UAV platforms and support systems.

WilliamsRDM is the OEM of the WP500-2 Smart Weapons Tester, a next-generation handheld armament test set designed for modern and legacy aircraft. The WP500-2 consolidates multiple legacy testers into a single, rugged, flightline-qualified device, enabling rapid verification and fault isolation of aircraft-to-weapon electrical interfaces.

Supporting MIL-STD-1760, MIL-STD-1553, and smart weapons interfaces, the WP500-2 is fielded across multiple fighter platforms and directly supports Agile Combat Employment (ACE) by reducing setup time, logistics burden, and dependency on fixed test equipment, delivering reliable armament verification for any mission, anywhere.

This same handheld architecture provides a foundation for future laboratory and production applications, enabling safe, non-energetic verification of missile electrical interfaces outside of operational aircraft environments.
