During an interview as part of INTERGEO 2022, Josef Schneider of Schneider Digital, discussed the latest trends in 3D stereo visualization, with an emphasis on viewing and working with LiDAR within the geospatial community.

In keeping with the theme of ‘digitalization needs geoinformation’ Schneider Digital exhibited the complete 3D PluraView monitor product range at INTERGEO, from the 22/24″ over the 27/28″ monitor, to the complete VR workstation for GEO applications.

Supporting the innovative use of 3D stereo visualization and workstations within the GIS sector, Josef Schneider also contributed to a podcast developed for the geospatial community, where he discussed the latest developments in 3D monitors, from desktop stereo systems to 3D meeting room solutions with 84″ monitor diagonals, and their place in shaping developments in geographic information systems.

Listen Here: Podcast episode #17 What is the passive stereo monitor and how does it work?

This year saw the premiere of the new 3D GlobeView display, which, with its 84″ monitor diagonal, is an ideal 3D stereo large-format presentation medium for all leading geo applications.
