This biennial exhibition connects the international defense and security sector with Japan’s rapidly expanding and strategically critical Indo-Pacific market.
Organized with the support of Japan’s Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and ATLA, DSEI Japan offers a vital platform for showcasing cutting-edge technologies, including unmanned systems, and for establishing strategic partnerships across the region.
DSEI Japan 2027 is scheduled for April 28-30.
DSEI Japan has previously included a high-level conference, technical seminars, international pavilions, and live demonstrations of defense technologies. Similar features are anticipated for 2027, subject to official confirmation.
Attendees have previously had access to presentations, educational workshops, and the Official Delegation Programme, which facilitates engagement with military and government representatives from across the Indo-Pacific region. The event also offers valuable networking opportunities for defense professionals looking to connect with key stakeholders, suppliers, and decision-makers.
In 2025, the event introduced the Newcomer Zone, a dedicated area highlighting emerging Japanese defense startups and SMEs through networking opportunities and live product demonstrations.
Full details for the 2027 edition have not yet been confirmed.
Under the theme “Strengthening Indo-Pacific Security Through Advanced Technology,” the DSEI Japan 2027 conference will convene senior government and military leaders for discussions on evolving security threats and the role of technological innovation in defense strategy.
Topics will include the integration of satellite networks and unmanned systems, cyber and space domain capabilities, and regional defense alignment with NATO and the USA.
The seminar series is expected to explore the intersection of foreign policy, military capability, and emerging technologies. With Japan accelerating its focus on rapid development and deployment, international sessions will address acquisition speed, deployment readiness, and the security implications of new defense technologies in the Indo-Pacific.
